JBL blog on Fandango, Monday night crowd and much more
Author: John Layfield
There is a reason only 348 people have climbed the Seven Summits-it requires a lot of cooperation from Mother Nature, which is out of the climbers control. Mt Blanc I am doing just for training and experience. I plan on going back to Mt Death next year.
I've been very pleased with Mountain Madness who I have used for all my mountains and will continue to, they have been awesome to work with and it's good to be up there with great pros.
I weigh about 250 pounds right now and was down to 245 for Mt Aconcagua, I plan on being 230 for Mt Blanc and hope to be below 220 for Mt Aconcagua next year.
We are raising a lot of money for our kids because of WWE's support. Just found out our Middle School kids will be going to play in the Play Rugby USA NYC Cup June 9th and our High School kids will play in first Atlantic Cup July 20th also in NYC. The most exciting thing is the fact that colleges will be there and some of our kids could end up getting to go to schools they normally would never be able to afford. I would love them to play sports in college, but most importantly I want them to go to college and our rugby program can provide that. Our U16s are in Canada next week.
If you are in Bermuda on Friday May 3rd please come down to our championship day at TNT Tatum. A huge day for us. Thanks to some great sponsors in Validus, Digicel, Aspen, Fairmount and so many others. Saracens Rugby is coming over at the end of May, really cool of them-and the money they help us raise will go to taking our kids on these trips and for things like shoes our kids need. We have another pro sports team sponsoring us, but can't release details yet. But huge thanks to all these guys.
Mark Griffin in NYC runs Play Rugby USA, we hope through www.LayfieldReport.com to highlight some of these wonderful programs. We hope to sign a partnership with Mark soon, he helped us set up our program and has been a huge help to us. Mark has between 2,500 to 3,000 inner city kids in NYC playing rugby and graduation rates have gone up dramatically because of his program.
Monday's WWE crowd was greatest crowd I have ever been in front of, just awesome. Loved the European influence and fans blending with the great fans of NY/NJ and other places-the singing and chanting is incredible. Below is how much Fandango is taking off, I have liked this guy from first time I saw him in a 'dark' match.
Here is Houston Texan cheerleader's doing the Fandango. This is awesome and love it for WWE and Fandango.
BTW, if you haven't seen Daniel Bryan as B.Dazzle with Kane as Kurly Kane RAPPING on the JBL and Cole show-you MUST see this. One of funniest things I have ever seen, I am becoming the biggest Daniel Bryan fan in the world! Also, John Cena and HBK on this week's show. See it and vote at www.layfieldReport.com And heard that folks think we rig the voting, please don't be that stupid-we take votes just as they come in and tally them. Yoshi Tatsu has a huge following on the Internet and his followers love to vote for what he does, this has gotten Yoshi a lot of votes against Daniel. All legit, please stop with the conspiracy theories-there is no black helicopter following you.
I thought the entire mess with Tiger Woods was ridiculous. Tiger obviously thought he was obeying rule 26, however, this is why rule 33 was put into place-so that you could penalize a guy strokes instead of DQ when there was no malice and the judges missed it as well. No one who saw it, including the fairway judges, thought there was any violation. Second guessing this is just stupid, it was a good ruling. Tiger could drop the ball as far back as he wanted, EXCEPT for the fact the ball had rolled in from the other side of the water-which means he has to drop 'as near as possible' to the original shot. Clearly this is why rule 33 was put into place, so you don't have to DQ someone over a ruling they had not intention of breaking and that no one on the course picked up on. I am hoping Fred Couples can be in the last twosome on Sunday and Guan (14 year old kid) hangs around near the top.
Michael Cole and my world tour continues, at www.LayfieldRepot.com we were at Bunker Hill in Boston last week (actually Breed's Hill) and in two weeks from now in London. On July 4th we are entered into the Marlin World Championship, last year I finished 2nd with my team-we will be representing Bermuda. All of our videos and old APA, JBL, Justin Hawk Bradshaw, along with some great stuff like Gorgeous George are at our YouTube Channel- www.YouTube.com/johnlayfieldShow Subscribe now and you never miss anything.
Apppreciate my good friend JR's comments in his blog, love reading JR's stuff-always thoughtful and insightful. We do our best at LayfieldReport to always have JR's newest blog up so you can go to it yourself.
Sorry to hear about Kobe Bryant with what looks like a torn achilles, at 35 will be tough for him to ever come back. Lakers made one of biggest mistake in sports when they passed on Phil Jackson this year-that will go down with history's dumbest moves.
